[ Music ]^M00:00:02 >> Hi. I'm Kent German, Senior
Editor here at CNET.com. Today we're taking a first
look at the Sony Ericsson W980. This is a new Walkman
phone, you can't get it with a carrier but you can get
it unlocked. Here on the outside we have an external
display you can access the music player and you can use
the screen as your guide without opening the phone.
On the left spine this control actually can rotate the
player between radio, between music mode and between
standard mode just by pressing that control. It will
change the function of these keys right here. Once you
open up the phone you'll see there's another design
touchup here. This is actually clear, this top of the
phone. There is the 3.2-megapixel camera lens right
here. No flash or self-portrait mirror.
Inside, the phone has the Walkman player that has the
shake control so when you play music you press down the
Walkman button and you flick your wrist like that, will
shuffle the songs for you, so that's just an interesting
Also blue tooth, speaker phone, organizer function s,
USB connectivity. So most everything you would expect
from a Walkman phone.
I'm Kent German and this is the Sony Ericsson W980.
