>> Brian Tong: Hey guys, Brian Tong here at CES 2010 in the Sony booth, and what I have behind me is Sony's pocketable camcorders. It's their line called the Bloggie. You might have been familiar with the Webbie, so this is the next generation of it.
Now, there's two models: this is the PM5 model, and then this is the CM5 model. One's kind of more of a candy bar design, where the other one is kind of this gun style, with the rotating screen.
Now, the key feature here, that these guys are 1080p pocketable camcorders. They shoot that at 30 frames per second. If you want to go down to 60 frames per second, you can jump down to 720p.
Another feature is these have a built-in USB dongle connection, so you won't have to run a long cable directly into your computer. Now, the Bloggie is also going to be able to support multiple formats. Not only will it do Sony's memory stick, but also SD cards. This is really the first time that we've seen Sony adopt other card technologies.
Another model in the Bloggie line is the PM5K, and what makes it different is it has this special lens, it's a 360-degree lens, that shoots the video like a donut, but then when you connect it to your computer, you can see this long rectangular... essentially like a film strip of the entire video running along. It's really cool stuff, and it also comes with four gigs of internal memory. The other models do not come with that.
All right, so the prices on these guys... the PM5 is going to be $169; the PM5K with the 360-degree lens, that's $189. And then the CM5, which is the shotgun-style with the rotating LCD, as well as an HDMI out, that's $189.
These are all available now, so check them out.
