Set up Priority mode in Android LollipopGet to know Lollipop's new 'do not disturb' feature.
One of Lollipop's most useful features is called priority mode. Which means that all notifications get silenced except the ones that you define as important. When you hit the volume down button you'll see 3 options. All means all notifications will come through. None means no notifications will come through, and Priority means only some notifications will arrive. To decide which notifications come through, hit the gear icon. Here's where you decide what notifications or interruptions you want to hear. You can toggle events that are reminders. Calls and Messages. This calls from option is probably the most useful cuz it lets you silence all calls and message except for your starred contacts. So, you can star your mom or your spouse or your boss so that their calls come through no matter what. If you know for sure that there are times when you don't want to be disturbed, you can schedule priority mode. For instance, it's really useful for the times when you're sleeping. Once you have that all set up, you can enable or disable priority mode at any time using the volume button and use these two options to determine when priority mode expires. And, don't worry. Alarms will always go off, even when you're in priority mode. For more more Lollipop tips and tricks, check out cnet.com/how-to. For CNET, I'm Sharon Profis. [MUSIC]
