Seagate BlackArmor PS 110 USB 3.0The Seagate BlackArmor PS 110 USB 3.0 is a well-designed external hard drive that is fast, portable, and future-proof.
>> Dong Ngo: Hello this is Dong Ngo for CNET.com I have with me today the very first USB 3.0 external hard drive the Seagate Black Armor PS 110. Now this is exactly the same as the previous 2.0 version of the Black Armor PS110 the only difference is on the back you can find a mini USB 3.0 port. So this port require a different cable that come with the drive. The other side of the cable it actually the same as any other USB cable. This cable is also capable of powering the hard drive. The hard drive itself is also backward compatible with USB 2.0 which means it will work with any computer that does not yet have USB 3.0. As most existing computers do not have USB 3.0 built in yet it come with a port itself. With this port the drive was fast in our testing easily 2 or 3 time faster than any other USB 2.0 external hard drive. The new drive comes with 1 capacity 500 gigabyte. The Seagate Black Armor PS100 costs $180 which is about 36 cent per gigabyte, a pretty good deal for one of these.
