Samsung's AirPods competitor is a contenderSamsung's second-generation Gear IconX is slightly smaller, more comfortable to wear and has much better battery life.
These are Samsung second generation totally wireless earphones, The Gear Icon X 2018. While they look similar to the orginial Icon X Samsung has made some design and performance improvements that make this a much better headphone. For starters, Samsung removed the heart rate monitor, making the bud slightly smaller while increasing the size of the internal battery. Not only do the ear buds fit a little better but the batter life, a real problem in the previous model, has improved to up to five hours, depending on whether you're streaming music over Bluetooth. Or have music stored on the Bud's 4 gigabytes of internal memory. The battery case, which provides nearly one full charge, is also smaller. While these are designed to work with Samsung Galaxy phones running Android 4.4 or higher, they do work with other Android and iOS devices. And can be used as a headset for making calls. However if you are using it in an Iphone. Some of the extra features. Like the exercise tracking feature. Really need the Android only Samsung gear app to work properly. The gear ICONX costs $200. But can be found online for $150. Or about what Apple's Airpods cost. While not perfect, it's arguably one of the better totally wireless headphones available right now.
