Hi I'm Scott Stein senior associate editor at cnet.com. And this is the Samsung Q4 3011.
Now every year we get to back to school laptops and try to look for retail values they're gonna provide a really good bang for the buck.
Now pursuing a little interesting now in our last retail roundup we found the Samsung 580 which was a great -- 799 -- Blu-ray.
Discrete graphics and it also that core I five processor. For. Pretty good price.
-- 799 Samsung Q4 3011 is not quite the steal that if Samsung predecessor was the RI --
But it still has the same great 2.4 gigahertz core I five processor and GeForce 310 -- graphics from Nvidia it doesn't have a Blu-ray drive.
And it's a more compact forms of fourteen inch screen instead of -- fifteen.
The body is a lot nicer -- -- I'm a brushed aluminum interior a black.
Aluminum exterior on the top and edge to edge glass it's a really nice look and a very solid feel really feels quite high and the screen is really nice and bright.
And the keyboard is a lot like an Asus keyboard back a lot of the construction reminds us of -- Asus laptops.
As a nice feel raised keys the track --
It's nothing to write home about but it works fine it could be a little bit larger.
Was really nice and as -- -- hard drive it's got four gigs of ram it's pretty much got everything you need.
Not a tremendous number reports but all the basics you'd be looking for including HDMI.
The battery life is good it's not spectacular but it's a good all around laptop and 800 dollars is a really strong price point.
And offers a nice value said good feel with really great features it should be one -- take a look at as you go back to school.
I'm Scott Stein and -- -- Samsung's Q4 3011.
