[SOUND] Samsung has halted production of the ill fated Galaxy Note 7. An anonymous company official told the Korean [INAUDIBLE] news agency.
After batteries in some Note 7s caught fire following the phone's release in August, Samsung issued a global recall last month.
But some replacement handsets Have reportedly suffered from similar overheating issues.
Samsung and Apple will appear before the US Supreme Court on Tuesday over the high profile patent case between the two companies.
In 2012, a jury found that the number of Samsung smartphones infringed on Apple's patent for its iPhone.
The Supreme Court will now consider how much of the $399 million dollars in damages awarded to Apple, Samsung Samsung must pay.
This is the first time a design patent case has been examined by the Supreme Court since the 1800s.
Twitter said yesterday's presidential debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, the second contest between the two candidates, was the most tweeted about debate in the social network's ten year history.
