Samsung Ativ Book 9 Lite hands-onSamsung's budget-minded Ativ Book 9 Lite comes to the U.S. for $799.
I'm Dan Ackerman and we are here taking a closer look at the US Version of Samsung's new ATIV Book 9 Lite laptop. Now that lite in the name means that this is gonna be a more budget-friendly version of Samsung's usually pretty fancy, super thin ultrabook laptops that's actually looks a lot like the more expensive version to its maybe a little bit heavier but for a budget-priced laptop, this specifically model is gonna be 799 and it actually look very nice indeed. Of course you got a touchscreen because it's a new windows 8 ultrabook style laptop. You've also got 4 gigs of RAM. The budget part of it comes in part because instead of an Intel processor, this has what frankly Samsung is basically calling a white-label processor. What it really is, is a special quad-core CPU that AMD has made specifically for this system for Samsung. Although it's not gonna say AMD anywhere on the laptop itself. And with that, you get AMD-- it's a pretty decent integrated Radeon graphics. The screen is only 1366x768 screen [unk] spending $700 or $800 on the 13-inch slim laptop. You know, that seems fairly reasonable to me. This guy should be available at the very end of July and you can pre-order it starting now. And that is the Samsung ATIV Book 9 Lite.
