CNET First Look
Samsung Admire 2 brings LTE to the tableAs Cricket's LTE footprint expands, this compact Galaxy S3 lookalike will be ready.
I'm Jessica Dolcourt from cnet.com here at CTIA 2013 in Las Vegas. We're looking at the Samsung Admire 2 for Cricket Wireless. This is a new phone for them that's gonna arrive this summer. It's a mid-range but more of an upper mid-range for Cricket. It looks a lot like the Samsung Galaxy S3, but a little shorter and thicker. Still has the same brush-finish on the back, very smooth coating so it's very nice to look at. Looks quite premium as well compared to a lot of the Cricket phones. Now, this is running Android 4.1.2 Jellybean. It does have Samsung's typical TouchWiz interface on top. This phone has a 4-inch display and has a front-facing camera, and there's a 5 megapixel camera on the back with flash and capability to record in 720p HD video. A Cricket phone-- it is also preloaded with Muve Music which is Cricket's music service that's integrated into the monthly rate plan. There's NFC on board as well so you can use Android Beam and Samsung's S Beam with other compatible phones. There are no pricing details or exact availability dates just yet. So stay tune for more information on that. I'm Jessica Dolcourt for CNET. You can catch all of our CTIA news at cnet.com.
