Quick Tips: Set your SD600's image size
>> You bought your digital camera to get maximum resolution didn't you, but you know you don't always need all those mega pixels. Here comes a Quick Tip on how to reduce the resolution for good reasons, on the SD600 and similar Canon cameras.

Now to change the resolution on your Canon SD600 or similar camera, you do this in the record mode. The picture taking mode. Just press the function button right in the middle of the navigation wheel. Go down to the bottom of that ribbon on the left side and you'll find a variety of resolutions from large on the far left all the way to small as you head more to the right. As you do so, notice the resolution number right above each selection. That's how many pixels high and wide the photo will be. Some of those are enormous. Look at the size of a large photo. That's many times the size of most computer monitors. If you head over to the small, that's 640 by 480, that's ample for web and email and look how many photos you can take when you reduce the resolution. So you may want to reduce resolution when you don't wanna have such large files that they clog up your hard drive too rapidly or that you don't wanna use up your card too quickly if that's all the space you have. Again, decide based on what the final use of these photos is going to be and as a guide to that, inside the operators manual that comes with your Canon SD series camera. So you see, it's really not hard to manage resolution, save space and still get great photos on your Canon SD series camera. I'm Brian Cooley. Thanks for joining us for this Quick Tip.
