Quick Tips: iPod Nano's hidden tricksIf you're just using your iPod Nano for music, you're missing out. Find out about the sleep timer, alarm clock, and more.
[ Music ] ^M00:00:04 >> Hi, I'm Molly Wood, and here's a quick tour of some iPod Nano features that you might not know about. For example, did you know your iPod has a sleep timer? If you're the type who likes to fall asleep listening to beautiful music, you don't have to run down your entire battery. But this feature is very well-hidden. Now, from the main menu, just choose "Extras" and then hit "Clock." Click the main clock and at the bottom of that menu you'll see a Sleep Timer option that you can set for anywhere from 15 minutes to 2 hours. Snooze away friends. Now, also under the clock menu, you can set the iPod as an alarm clock. Choose the clock you wanna set an alarm for and then select "Alarm Clock", and set the Alarm to "On." Choose the time you want, and then choose a sound. The beep sound will play out loud on the iPod's internal speaker, while a playlist will come through the headphones or an external speaker. Now, another handy menu item is the volume limit. From the main menu, choose "Settings" and scroll down to "Volume Limit." If your iPod is too quiet for your little ear buds, you can crank it up here. Or if you want to protect your hearing, you can turn it down. Okay, but what if something goes wrong with your iPod Nano? Here's how to reset this little gadget and it's not like it is on other iPods. First, you have to slide the Hold switch to hold and back again. Then you press the menu and center button at the same time for about 6 seconds until the Apple logo comes up. Should be fine now, start all over.
