Nikon CoolPix S230The Nikon Coolpix S230 is a decent ultracompact camera with a little extra wow factor of a touch-screen interface.
>> Josh: Hi I'm Josh Goldman, Senior Editor for CNET Reviews and this is the Nikon Coolpix S230 it's a follow-up to the very popular S210 and aside from its resolution jumping from 8 megapixels to 10 it now features a 3 inch touch-screen display but keeps a fairly low price of less than $230.00. The S230 comes in 5 colors and as you can see it's pretty tiny. Unlike Nikon's last touch-screen attempt the S60 that had all of its controls on screen, the S230 has a couple physical buttons for accessing the camera's mode menu and for playback. And thankfully there's a zoom ring instead of the S60's touch-zoom. Photo quality's a little softer than we'd like but typical for a camera of its size and price. Also although it's faster than its predecessor the S230 is still fairly slow. In the end it's a decent good looking point and shoot ultra compact camera that happens to have the convenience of an intuitive touch-screen interface. I'm Josh Goldman and that's the Nikon Coolpix S230. ^E00:01:09
