Alright, so I'm here with NASA's newest designs for what could be the future Commercial jetliners.
What we have right here is a truss-braced wing, which is its version of the next generation of a 737.
So the idea here is that those longer wingspan, it's thinner, and it has these struts basically to help support this longer than average wingspan.
But here's the benefit, and this is why NASA is interested in it.
It expects that commercial airline Traffic is going to double by 2030, which means a lot more people, a lot more pollution, a lot more gas consumption, which is exactly what this does differently.
It consumes 50 to 60% as much gas Gasoline, and jet fuel with the 737.
It flies faster and six times quieter.
That's the benefit.
Flying the friendly skies, you're going to actually be a lot friendlier.
