Meet the ginormous, 5.7-inch Boost Max from ZTEOriginally launched as the ZTE Iconic Phablet, the Boost-branded Max is a 5.7-inch 4G LTE phone with a dual-core processor, Android 4.1.2, and an 8-megapixel camera.
Hello, everybody. It's Lynn La from CNET, and today we're gonna check out the very large Boost Max from ZTE. Now at 5.7 inches, this device is the carrier's first phablet and it actually debuted earlier this year at CES under the name ZTE Iconic Phablet. But the Iconic and the Max are essentially the same handset. Again, it has a 5.7-inch HD IPS Corning Gorilla Glass screen with a 1280 x 720 pixel resolution. On the back, there's an 8-megapixel camera with flash and you could record 1080p video. Users will also get a one megapixel front facing camera. The 4G LTE phone is powered by a 1.2 gigahertz dual-core Snapdragon 400 processor and a non-removable 3.2 ampere hour battery which yields about a reported talk time of 16 hours. The Boost Max runs Android 4.1.2 with ZTE's Mifavor user interface overlaid on top. One neat feature included in this UI is called Smart Viewer, which enables you to split screen 2 apps at the same time. Additional features include 1 gig of RAM, 8 gigs of internal memory and a microSD card slot that's expandable up to 64 gigs. If you're interested, the device is currently available prepaid for $299.99. Again, I'm Lynn and you've been checking out the Boost Max from ZTE.
