Make your own LED light show with this cool phone attachment
Moto Z phones are the only modular game in town.
Alcatel's A5 gets three modular accessories that attach to the back, an audio speaker, a battery pack that doubles the phone's battery life.
And the most interesting of all, an LED case that you can program to light up when you get a notification, modulates to your music Or sync to the sound of your voice.
It does draw from the A5's battery, which isn't very big to begin with.
So you'll want to keep an eye on those power reserves.
The phone itself is an affordable handset with features that hover around the lower end of the range.
But still the A5's 5.2 inch screen and 8 megapixel camera make it fancier than those other two new Alcatel phones, the A3 and U5.
All three of these have front-facing flashes for your selfies and some texture on their designs.
The phones do feel cheap, which isn't surprising because they're not meant to be very expensive.
One last thing.
While the Alcatel 85 does have a fingerprint sensor built into the Home button, it will work everywhere that the 85 sells except the US.
