Make your old phone feel new againIf your smartphone is slowing you down, there are easy ways to make it run smoother. In this Tech Minute, CNET.com's Sharon Profis has tips for freeing up storage and reducing annoying notifications.
[MUSIC] Start by deleting any apps you don't use. In some cases, apps might be buried in folders throughout your home screen, so dig through them to make sure you catch any idle apps. Not only will you free space, you probably just reduced the number of annoying notifications you receive. Now it's time to get some storage space back. Take some time to audit your storage by going to Settings, then General, Usage, and Manage Storage. Here's where you'll find out which apps are hogging the most Space. Many times photos are the culprit, so connect your phone to a computer and back it up before deleting them to make room. And finally, too many notifications can make your phone feel clunky. Head to Settings then Notifications and adjust your preferences so that you only get the alerts you actually need. You'll be interrupted less often and you might even increase your battery life.
