LG's see-through smart fridge takes the CES stageIt just wouldn't be CES without touchscreen smart refrigerators -- and this year, LG brought one with Alexa built right in.
Hey guys, I'm here with the LG Smart Instaview refrigerator. This is a new smart fridge from LG that's built to compete with the Samsung Family Hub refrigerator. You can see it's got the same sort of four-door design with this big touchscreen on the upper right door. And it's 29 inches, so it's a little bigger than Samsung's touchscreen and it's also translucent. You can actually sort of, See through into your [UNKNOWN] of the door there. And actually put stickers over top of things and the labels refer to them. And tell you whose stuff is who's and leave messages for your family. You can also browse the web and look at recipes on this fridge. And it's got a [UNKNOWN] that opens too so you can control all that with your voice. Those electric controls are new here at CES. Also new LG's WebOS platform is what runs that touch screen. Before that was Windows and Cortana. Now it's WebOS. Other fridge features include the ability to check cameras inside the fridge to look inside without opening the doors, Along with checking the weather or playing music, all sorts of cool things you can do just as you would on a tablet of course to big question is how much is this thing going to cost, we don't have the specific number yet but it's a very safe bet that it's not going to be a bargain any time soon. We'll keep you posted as we know more about it this year
