LG's 105-inch TV boasts a '5K' panel
Hello TV fans, I'm Luke Westaway for CNET at CES 2014 taking a look at an absolutely enormous television.
This is LG 21:9 curve Ultra HD TV.
Now apart from the gentle curve, the most standout feature of this TV is its 21 x 9 aspect ratio.
Now that unusual aspect ratio should give you a much bigger more impressive view of Blu-Rays and DVDs.
Although, it's worth noticing that if you're watching regular TV then you will get a couple of black bars on either side.
There's also the option though to stretch the picture hopefully that won't make you look too wilt.
Now, the screen is vast.
It's a 105 inches on the diagonal and interestingly LG calls this a 5K display.
That's because the resolution actually goes above and beyond what you get with 4K.
Specifically, it's a 5120 x 2160 pixel screen.
It's getting that extra pixel space of course from the sides of the display, which is wider than a regular TV.
LG says this will be available to buy in the next few months.
There's no price yet, but it's gonna be very, very expensive I'm sure.
I don't know how you would even fit this through your front door, let alone get it up on your wall, but if you do have a big enough house and you have the budget to stretch to it, it looks like a very cool bit of tech.
