>> Hello, I'm Nicole Lee, Associate Editor for CNET.com and this is a First Look at the LG Rhythm. As you can see it's a very slim slider handset with a nice 2.0-inch display and it looks a little like the previous LG Chocolate. But take a closer look at the navigation array. In the middle of the mechanical scroll wheel is a small circular touch screen. The image on the touch screen changes depending on what application you're in and it corresponds to a particular function. And if you're in the music player, the touch screen will show a play or pause icon instead. The mechanical scroll wheel has a trace motion light and surrounding the scroll wheel are four touch sensitive navigation keys. It's a nice intuitive menu interface as you can see here. You can just scroll through the menu like a nice semi-circle here. When you slide the phone up, it will reveal a nice numbered keypad. The keys are very nicely raised above the surface and we like that a lot and on the back do you get the camera lens as well as the self portrait mirror. As far as features of the LG Rhythm go, they are pretty multimedia focused. Of course you get the typical vibrates, speaker phone, text and multi media messaging. But the real star of the LG Rhythm is of course the music player. It has a great user interface and is decked out with all the features you would find in a normal full-blown MP3 player. Most impressive of all are the preset equalizer settings programmed by none other than Mark Levinson himself, a designer of premier high-fidelity audio equipment. The settings are Natural Sound, Flat, Live, Virtual Bass, Comfort, and Clear.

>> Very cool music player features on this phone as well as an FM transmitter. It also has EV-DO instead of Bluetooth as we said. The LG Rhythm is currently selling for $120 from either U.S. Cellular or Alltel. My name is Nicole Lee. This has been the LG Rhythm.
