LG Ally (Verizon Wireless)With its solid design and great features, the LG Ally is an affordable and welcome addition to the Android family.
>> dot com and this is a first look at the LG Ally from Verizon Wireless. It is LG's very first android smart phone for the U.S. market, and as you can see here it is a slider-style smart phone. On the front is a 3.2 inch capacitive test screen display. Underneath that you do get two touch sensor keys for the back key as well as for the search key. Underneath that you do get four physical keys. They are the send key, the home key, the menu key, as well as the end power key. On the back there's a 3.2 megapixel camera lens as well as the LED flash. The phone slides open to reveal a very nice four-row curly keyboard. The keyboard is very roomy and very tactile. the keys are raised above the surface so it's easy to text and dial by feel. Also on the keyboard are navigation keys like this four-way square [inaudible] here. The capacitive display is very easy to use. You get five customizable home screens and you get the typical android style menu interface. You get the standard Google android interface, thanks to Google's androids OS2.1. Features are the same as you would find on other android smart phones. You get very tight integration with Gmail, Google talk, Google calendar and so forth. You also get YouTube on here and a very nice android browser with full issue on all support, as well as flash light support. There is also Wi-Fi, stereo Bluetooth and GPS with Google Maps navigation. Of course you also get Microsoft Quick Office for document editing and viewing. You also get Outlook Thinking with your calendars and contracts. Of course there's also the 3.2 megapixel camera on the back here, as well as music player with access to Amazon's mp3 store. Aside from Wi-Fi, you also get access to Verizon's EBDeal [sounds like] rev A service that promises really fast Internet access. The LG Ally is available right now from Verizon Wireless for 99.99 with a two-year service agreement. I'm Nicole Lee and this has been a first look at the LG Ally.
