LeEco makes US debut with two luxe, low-cost phonesBoth the LeEco LePro 3 and Le S3 have a 16-megapixel camera, a 5.5-inch screen and cost less than $400.
At a San Francisco press event, Chinese-based company LeEco unveiled two phones, the Le Pro3 and the Le S3. The Le Pro3 is a more powerful handset with a 5.5 inch display, Snapdragon 821 processor, 4 gigs of RAM and 64 gigs of on-board storage. It has a 16-megapixel camera, and on the front is a eight-megapixel shooter. You also get a fingerprint reader and a USB Type B port. The phone boasts a massive 4.07-ampere-hour battery. With Qualcomm's Quick Charge 3.0 technology included, LeEco claims the phone can charge up to 33% in 20 minutes. LeEco's second phone is the Le S3 Though it has the same size screen and camera specs. It's equipped with a Snapdragon 652 chipset and 32 gigs of internal memory. Both phones feature llive, a streaming service from the company that lets you watch TV shows, movies, and other content. Perhaps the most compelling features for these phones are their prices. The Le Pro 3 costs just $399, and Le S3 costs $229. Though other high end budget handsets exist, like the one plus three for example, at a sum $400 price that still makes them way more cheaper than other flagships that run up to $700 or more.
