Keep your phone number private
If you're selling goods online or just want to keep your phone number private many apps can setup temporary numbers for voice calls and text messages.
Burner is available for IOS and Android.
With the free version you get 40 texts and 20 minutes of talk time with each generated number.
The app also integrates with services like Evernote Slack and Dropbox so you can automatically save text, or set up canned responses.
Once you're finished with your burner number, simply delete it from the app.
Google Voice works in a similar way by allocating you a new forwarding number.
It can also transcribe voicemail.
You can call people within your Google chatlist or Gmail messages using this number.
Then there's Hushed, It creates temporary numbers, but also lets you private message other members of the app, automatically deleting photos and text messages after they've been read.
