With front porch package theft on the rise and the holidays fast approaching, here are ways to keep your deliveries out of the hands of porch pirates.
Amazon Key works with a smart lock and video camera, and allows delivery people access to your home and leave your purchases inside.
The system cost $250 and is only available in several dozen cities.
Amazon Key and Car gives delivery drivers access to your car trunk with a few taps of an app.
It currently only works with newer model GM's and Volvo's with more cars to be added soon The simplest way to prevent package theft from outside your home is to have it shipped to a nearby Amazon locker.
Once the box is inside, you'll get the combination to open it.
Perhaps not the most convenient, but definitely secure.
And finally you can sign up for delivery alerts, Amazon will text you when your package ships, is on route or has been delivered.
