JVC's quad-proof Adixxion GC-XA2 action cam an excellent GoPro alternative
Well there are many many POV action cams available.
Few are made by major electronics manufacturers.
JVC's Addixxion XA2 is one of them.
And one of the best options out there.
I'm Josh Goldman with CNET.
And what makes the XA2 an excellent action cam is its well-rounded combination of design features and performance.
The body is what JVC calls quad proof.
And that means it's protected from water, dust, cold and shocks, all without a housing.
It has a built in 1.5 inch LCD so you can preview and review your shots.
And change settings.
Shooting options are plentiful including full HD at 60 frames per second as well as slow motion video at 720p and 120 frames per second.
There's built in wi-fi.
It records to SD cards and not micro SD cards.
And it has a removable rechargeable battery.
Video quality, overall, is excellent too.
It has some minor flaws such as some mushy controls that can be hard to press because of the rugged build.
The back is a little tricky to open for the same reason.
It only comes with one mount, and heavy vibration results in some jelloey video.
You could read the full review on CNET.
COM but if you're looking for an all-in-one easy to mount action cam, put this at the top of your list.
I'm Josh Goldman and that's a quick look at the JVC Adixxion XA2.
