iOS 9 and iPad Mini 4 are a winning comboApple's new little iPad can handle split-screen apps and picture-in-picture video just like its big brothers, but it's smaller than a paperback. Here's the best of what's new.
2014, Apple updates the iPad Air 2, but the iPad mini didn't get a lot of updates. 2015, Apple goes super large with the iPad Pro, doesn't touch the iPad Air and the iPad mini gets the updates we were looking for. The new Mini four has got a lot of the features that the iPad Air 2 does and it's $100 less What are our favorites, split screen apps with IOS 9 only a few iPad's can take advantage of running two apps at once, the iPad Air 2, the iPad Pro, and the mini four, it has more RAM than the previous mini or iPad Air and it can handle it Picture in picture video. You could take a video, pop it out in iOS 9, only on certain iPads, and be able to watch a show at the same time you're checking emails, or reading something. [INAUDIBLE] a sports game, or some sort of live event, pretty awesome. Faster, thinner. Okay, it's just a little bit thinner, but the fact that they shaved it down a tiny bit, like the [UNKNOWN] 2, plus boosted to an A8 processor, that's similar to what the iPhones from last year had. Still, it's a nice bump up over what we had before. The mini 4 feels portable, it's comfy, it's more powerful, and it's also got better cameras. Eight megapixel in the back. And you can actually shoot slow mo on this. Now keep in mind the iPad Pro is coming in November. Much more powerful processor, a lot larger and more expensive. And if you have kids, there's a less expensive iPad Mini, the Mini 2, which has a slighty powered down processor. But that's fine for kids. This however is like the iPad Air2, a little more shrunken down, and a little less expensive. Even though it's working in the weeds, the iPad Mini4 might be Apple's sleeper hit of the holidays.
