Ion Audio Block Rocker portable sound system for iPod

>> Donald: Some battery-powered iPod speaker systems are cute and tiny, others look great around your home, a few of them really let you crank
your music loud. I'm Donald Bell and today I'm gonna show you an iPod speaker system on wheels that'll knock your socks off for 250 bucks.

>> Donald: The Ion Block Rocker is a portable speaker system with a 12 hour battery built right in. There's an iPod dock right on the
top of the Block Rocker, but this is much more than a portable iPod speaker system, it's more like a guitar amp on wheels. On the front
of the Block Rocker you've got a combo jack for both XLR and 1/4 inch input, perfect for plugging in a microphone or a guitar, next
to that you've got another instrument input for a guitar, after that you've got an RCA connection so that you can plug in a CD player
or any other kind of non iPod MP3 player and you've got all these different plastic knobs here for adjusting game control settings.
On the back of the Block Rocker you've got a power switch, a 3 prong connection for recharging the battery, and an output that lets you
connect multiple Block Rockers together. On the sides of the Block Rocker you've got these heavy duty handles for moving it around,
and on the bottom of the Block Rocker you've got this recessed hole here that will let you mount it onto a PA stand. One of the coolest
features on the Block Rocker isn't just that it plays your iPod but it allows you to play your iPod along side using a microphone that
comes included using instrument connections or any of the inputs all at the same time, so what this really is, is the perfect mobile
Karaoke machine. [singing] I'm a joker, I'm a smoker, I'm a midnight toker. If you're not so much into the public humiliation thing
the Block Rocker is also great for any outdoor party, barbeque, picnic, tail-gaiting, anything where you need to make an obnoxious
amount of noise outdoors, I mean, a speaker that can take a ton of abuse. So, I'm Donald Bell for CNET and that was a first look at
the Ion Block Rocker Speaker. [singing] Get my lovin' on the run, ohh.
