In Demo spotlight, electric skateboards, fantasy politics, and a high-tech calorie counterWhat revolutionary product will win over consumers at the spring Demo show? From an armband that tracks your calories to a 3D visualizer for your smartphone, correspondent Sumi Das takes a look at the hottest products at the conference.
(Gelo?) is a conference unlike most others. Demonstrated or hand picked and each one gets 6 minutes in the spot like to explain why their products is revolutionary. We came to demo looking for the stand up. It's a bit of junkies out there. Fantasy politics lets you draft your very own political dream team. Think fantasy foot ball but with senators, governors and the leader of the free world. Bodily will fit on them tracks calorie burn by monitoring activity levels and sleep pattern. The company launched pro-connected demo. A feature that lets doctors virtually check on their patients. It allows a physician or a personal trainer or medical weight loss professionals to be able to access the client's data. So those clients that would be using our standard system, they can remotely monitor. So if you only get to see a client or patient once a week this allows you to monitor what they're doing the rest of that time and send messages to help keep them on track. Safety users wanting to protect their social media reputation maybe interested in network clean which monitors your profile and alerts you in slight content as posted. You just setup their own filters such as profanity or key words, or even posts from particular friends, you know the ones you tag them an embarrassing photos. But (Judy company?) too for got our attention but there are two factor up in partition technology that gets rid of those easy to loose security token. Nope, with the blender. There's still three ways you can authenticate yourself. You can authenticate yourself with something that you know, something you have, and something you are. So what we're doing is to replace in something you have which is your key pub with another thing that you already have which is a Smart phone. But the fact is you have the folder set of your pocket every single time you wanna use this with super. You can actually leave your phone in your pocket and it works just as well. When you log on to (??) site but choose your app on your phone received the request for you to confirm your identity. The technology also memorizes your location whether at work or at home. So when you log in the next time, you won't even need to pull out your phone. Ark ball is a mobile app that creates 3D visual invasions of an object (??) really in about 60 seconds. You need it by hand and then you essentially initiate the capture process, and it takes 20 seconds for the items to make a full revolution. And in that time the software captures between the photographs that are compressed and put in a form that allows you to do that adding labels of that. And then when you're happy, you can publish. And now for product that has nothing to do with the crowd, and this is going to be the latest must have Smart phone app. The new born. The weight sensing in that new born, so you need forward to go up to top speed of 17 miles per hour and you need that stuff and actually keeps in the center breaking. The board covers 10 miles on the full charge and weighs 30 pounds so you might wanna hold off on the alley. Would you take this to the skate park. Not just skate park, you can take this on serious skate park seriously to plug in to point A to point B. It's a bit heavy than a normal skate board. You not get any type of plan. Any conference where you can pick a spin not on an electric skate board gets my vote. But can get still launch success it like Tivo or Salesforce.com as they did in the past. We asked Sinet editor (??). Demo still based on a relatively old model which is you have to pay the play. It cost a fair amount of money to get up on the demo stage. Competing shows like the tech disrupt, launch and shows that a run by incubators are showing new companies that in some cases as just is good and younger and sometimes more exciting. So demo is challenged, it still a good show. There are some really good products here today. But it's not the only show anymore. Still we'll keep coming back to look for those gems or just try out new toys. From Sinet, I'm (Stacey Duff?). Oh piece of cake.
