Huawei Watch GT bulks up on battery life, loses Wear OS
Battery, battery, battery.
Small watches don't last very long on a single charge.
Huawei watch GT aims to fix battery life by switching up software.
Huawei previous watches ran off Google's OIS Software, this fitness watch runs Huawei's own which is more fitness focused but allows up to two weeks of battery life or 30 days for rate rate and GPS turned off.
The Huawei Watch GT also promises 22 hours of GPS heart rate tracking on runs which is in the territory of top end dedicated GPS fitness watchers
The watch has dual crowned buttons, a stainless steel case, and a ceramic bezel.
An improved heart rate sensor promises better accuracy and GPS connects to GPS GLONASS and China's Galileo and Beidou satellite systems.
Huawei's onboard sleep tracking tech has been developed with Harvard medical school.
Maybe it'll be more accurate.
Of course, if it's longer battery you're after, there are other fitness watches too.
Including many good ones by FitBit and Garmin.
WowWay may make more Google wear os watches as well, but it's unlikely that they're going to last as long on a charge as the WowWay Watch GT.
