Hands-on with Lenovo's IdeaPad Yoga 2 ProThis sequel gets thinner, lighter, and adds an ultra-high-res screen
I'm Dan Ackerman and we are taking a look at the Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 2. That is of course a sequel to one of our favorite laptops from the past year or so, and the conceit of the Yoga is that it looks like a traditional clamshell laptop, a 13-inch model in this case. The previous gen had a 13 and an 11, and you fold the screen all the way flat and then you keep going and it folds 360 degrees and lays down flat like a tablet. Now of course for the backside you still got the keyboard exposed but the keyboard is deactivated. New for this second-generation version of the Yoga, the keyboard is now backlit. It's a little bit thinner, a little bit lighter, but I think more importantly it's got a super high-res screen, is a 3200x1800 IPS screen that is one of the highest resolutions you can get on any laptop. We're starting to see a handful of these higher-res screens pop up on very high-end systems, and I'm pleased to see it on one of my favorite designs. I'm Dan Ackerman and that is the Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 2.
