The Razer Blade 15 was one of our favorite midsized gaming laptops of 2018.
But it also cost a lot, putting it out of the range of many.
A new version keeping the name but making some hardware and design tweaks is now available, and at a lower starting price of 1,599.
That's compared to 1,899 to 2,899 fo the classic version.
The new Razer Blade 15 even adds dual storage drives aboard both SSD and HDD and it adds gigabit ethernet too.
But there are a few cost cutting moves too.
The body is a hair thicker They keyboard only has one lighting zone, so while it still supports millions of possible colors, you can only get one at a time.
And note that the battery loses some capacity, and the graphics card is a single option The Nvidia 1060 Max-Q.
Now you can get a budget gaming laptop for under a 1,000 bucks with similar components.
So what you're paying for here is the excellent build quality and design, the slim body, the great screen, the keyboard and lightning features, and the wide storage options.
Plus the chance to show off a Razor branded laptop for less than before.
