Full steam ahead this fall for Apple's HomeKit smart-home lineChamberlain, iDevices, and Schlage have all jumped on the HomeKit bandwagon, bringing Siri-based voice controls to their various smart-home products.
[MUSIC] Hey Siri, lock the door. Door lock is locked. Hi. I'm Rich Brown and I'm here with Schlage, Chamberlin, and iDevices and all these guys are showing off their new smarthome devices that all work with Apple's homekit platform. So just showed up Schlage's forthcoming sense lock. This is a dead bolt complete setup here. We actually saw a mock up of this at CES. This is a late beta version that's gonna be coming out in the fall for about 239. It has a lot of features common to most other smart locks. You can control it remotely with your phone by hitting a button on your phone. Or now you can use Siri to lock and unlock your door. So then here, we have the Chamberlain MyQ garage door opener, and here is the Chamberlain MyQ garage, which is an accessory you can put onto your existing opener. And now these are both in the market, we've reviewed them both already, they're solid products. New to these though, is the home kit functionality where you can talk to Siri to open your garage door. Hey Siri, open the garage. Okay, the garage door is open. So this is the last product we're here to see today. It's a iDevices Switch. This is a $59 smart plug. We saw a mockup in CEF. It has some basic smart plug functionality, if we're familiar with that idea. You can control anything you kind of plug into it remotely. This one though is one fo the first that has home can support. It will be available in Lowes actually later this year which is going to be new for either device or Lowes to have that kind of product in that store so kind of interesting also. We've seen a few home kit compatible products already, these are three more though so they're not going to be on the market just yet. We've got a little bit to wait but it's very clear that the home edition is growing and it's definitely going to make it's present on the market before the end of the year. I'm Rich Brown, I'm here with Selig Item Devices and Chamberlain.
