Dell's first ultrabook laptop, the XPS 13Dell's first ultrabook laptop is here, and it's part of the company's high-end XPS brand.
I am Dan Ackerman and one of the products we've been looking most forward to seeing at CES 2012 has been Dell's entry into the Ultrabook Market. This is the Dell XPS 13 and if you've been paying attention, Ultrabooks, that's an Intel marketing term used, a very thin, very light laptops that are kind of like a MacBook Air but they run Windows and they are usually less expensive. This guy here weighs just a little bit under 3 pounds. You can get up to an Intel Core I7 CPU which is pretty impressive, uses regular integrated Intel HD 2000 graphics unlike other Ultrabooks on, it has SSD storage over 128 or 256 gig SSD drive in here. I personally like it. It has a back lid keyboard but I think it's really important for a small and more portable system that maybe you're gonna take on a train, it will be dark or an airplane. It will be available early in 2012 starting at just under $1000. I am Dan Ackerman. That's the Dell XPS 13.
