[ Music ] ^M00:00:03 >> Nicole Lee: I'm Nicole Lee, associate editor for CNET.com, and this is a first look at the Casio G'zOne Brigade. This is Casio's first messaging phone and, as is the case with other Casio G'zOne headsets, this is military certified to withstand a variety of environmental hazards. They include water, shock, vibration, humidity, and more. As you can see here, the Brigade is a very chunky and hefty phone. It's made out of a very hard plastic here. On the back here is a crocodile texture for better grip, and all of the ports are covered in rubber stoppers to prevent water damage. On the front is a round external display. It's OLED, so you can see the date and time really brightly, and then you've got, you do get, the external number keypad. It's very sort of pointed and raised above the surface for easy dialing by feel. On the back is the 3.2-megapixel camera lens as well as the LED flash. Turn the phone on its side and flip it open, and you do get a nice big colorful display as well as a full four-row QWERTY keyboard. The display, as you can see here, is nice and colorful, and [inaudible] soft keys as well as the nice keyboard here. On the side are supplementary navigation controls, the round toggle as well as the set and clear keys as well as the end power key. The keyboard is really nice and roomy and spacious. The keys are also raised above the surface in a nice domed texture, so it's easy to text by feel. Features of the phone include the aforementioned 3.2-megapixel camera and camcorder. You also get the typical text and multimedia messages. You also get GPS and Verizon Navigator, [inaudible], video streaming as well as V-Cast Music with Rhapsody. You usually get Bluetooth as well as a full HTML browser. The Casio G'zOne Brigade is available for $250 with a two-year service agreement from Verizon wireless. I'm Nicole Lee.
