August's Doorbell Cam is smarter than your front door buzzer
So we've already reviewed a handful of WiFi video doorbells, and they've been really disappointing.
But the $199 doorbell cam from August, right here, might just change all that.
The one thing you'll notice right off the bat is that It's kind of an awkward design it is smaller than ring or sky bough.
But you're still running into the same issue with the door frame where there's a weird over hang.
If your door bell wiring is installed in a traditional occasion.
And because this doorbell like other Other wired door bells only works as a mechanical chime.
Not a digital chime or an intercom system.
They're usually installed on the door frame in this traditional spot.
So you might have to do a little work with that.
Otherwise, it was pretty simple.
And it does have HD streaming, which is really good.
It's responsive and it works together with the August lock.
So if you have the August lock, you can actually pull up a live stream, talk to someone who's at your front door, and unlock the door for them.
So while the doorbell cam definitely isn't perfect, it's my favorite option so far especially if you have an [UNKNOWN]
