Apps to train your brainAs kids go back to school, now might also be a good time for parents to give their brains a boost. In this Tech Minute, CNET's Sharon Profis shares a few brain-training apps that can keep you sharp, focused and mentally fit.
Lumosity is brain training app that has fun mini games and different mental exercises. Some games are designed to improve focus, while others work on quick problem solving or multitasking. The better you get, the harder the games become. Lumosity is free, but if you want extra features and to compare scores with other users Upbringing subscription starts at 1495 a month. Elevate is a similar app, but focuses on more practical language in math skills like estimation, comparing values, name recall, as well as reading and listening comprehension. Like Lumosity, it is free, but extra features mean signing up for a premium membership. And finally, Happify wants to help you achieve a happier state of mind. You can work on areas like stress, empathy, and self-confidence through mini-games and And guided meditations. And yes, you guessed it, the app is free with a premium subscription option.
