Apple Watch loses some big apps
Apple Watch lost some big apps.
Smart watches are not exactly a smash hit.
It looks like some big companies have realized that.
First spotted by Apple insider, Amazon, Ebay, Google Maps, and Target have dropped their Apple Watch apps.
Three of those apps are for shopping, so maybe there isn't a great amount of function for a watch app.
As in aside, we have seen how easy it is to buy something using Amazon, and an apple watch when Cnet editor Scot Stine accidentally ordered an Xbox.
I'm just going to add it to my wish list.
Not hit no no.
Google Maps on the other hand is really useful
The maps app on Apple Watch would give directions that you could easily check on your wrist.
Google says it removed Apple Watch support from its latest iOS release and the company expects to support it again in the future.
However, Google did not explain why exactly it killed off Apple Watch support in the first place.
Apple Watch was first introduced in 2015.
Its functionality changed drastically in 2016 with the introduction of watchOS 3. watchOS 3 allowed apps to run on the watch itself without needing another device.
Will other companies drop support for Apple's smart watch?
Or is this just temporary?
We'll keep an eye out for you.
