I'm Xiomara Blanco.
And today we'll be revealing the Acer Iconia A1 Tablet.
This is an Android tablet with an iPad Mini complex.
They both have 7.9-inch 4x3 aspect ratio IPS displays with 1024x768 resolutions.
But with the iPad Mini excels, the A1 fall short.
The Iconia A1 is nowhere near the sleek and thin design of the iPad Mini.
It's noticeably thicker than the mini and for
me, it doesn't fit comfortable in one hand.
The tablet's smooth back has a soft matte finish but makes the device slippery if not grip securely.
It weighs one pound and the slightest, thickness and grip, it feels a bit hollow.
One area where the tablet outshines the iPad Mini is in connection.
The tablet features micro USB and micro HDMI ports and a micro SD expansion slot.
It also has a headphone jack, microphone and shutdown pin-hole.
has 2 cameras.
One terrible 0.3 megapixel front-facing the atrocity and the more impressive 5 megapixel rear camera that performs surprisingly well in low-light environment and captures vivid color for a tablet camera.
It ships with an almost pure version of the latest Android Jellybean 4.2.2.
Touch and swipe is fast and responsive and gaming performance was good.
The gyroscope isn't the best and the iPad Minis easily out performed it.
The screen looks just as good as the
Mini when watching HD video, although the 2 big black bars that framed the video due to the 4x3 aspect ratio in addition to the A1's thick bezels make the video look smaller and less enjoyable to watch on the screen.
At $199 for 16 gigabytes, the Acer Iconia A1 is a budget Android tablet with the useful micro HDMI port and micro SD expansion slot.
But there are better small tablet available for the same price.
