It's Lynn La from CNET here with the Doro PhoneEasy 618 from Consumer Cellular.
The handset is geared towards seniors.
You can see here, it has a generously sized number keypad that are easy to press and see.
It includes shortcuts for text messaging, the camera and your top 3 contacts.
On the back, there's a 3.2-megapixel camera with flash.
The flash doubles as a flashlight as well.
There's also a large audio speaker
for those who may be hard of hearing and an emergency call button.
After you press it quickly 3 times, it will call a preprogrammed number.
The UI is also very user friendly.
It has large fonts and menu icons that are easy to read.
One feature is called ICE which stands for in case of emergency.
Here, you can enter information like your insurance company, your doctor's contact info and your blood type for easy recall.
You can also set up daily reminders that will alert you of important tasks that you need to do.
the phone will be
available online mid-December for about $60 and in select retail stores in January 2013.
Again, I'm Lyn and this has been the Dora PhoneEasy 618.
