A new look for HP's ultraportable Pavilion x2 hybridHP moves to a simple magnetic hinge for its inexpensive tablet/laptop combo.
[MUSIC] A new hybrid design from HP. I'm Dan Ackerman and this is HP's 2015 version of the Pavillion X2. This is a 10.1 inch Intel atom powered hybrid. Obviously, works like a clam shell laptop right here. And they've got a magnetic hinge as opposed to some of the last types systems that we've seen before. So the screen just pops off like this. You can use it as a full Windows 8 tablet, or you can flip it around, reattach it like this and then you've got that kind of kiosk mode. And if you want to you can fold it down and just carry it as a thicker table here with the keyboard still attached for convenience. So when you want to flip it back. Easy enough to do, you can just like this and now you've got your clamshell again. What I really like is that they've moved up to USB C. This is one of the first laptops that we've seen with the USB C connection. They use it to charge the laptop also and Has a full regular USB port, and micro HDMI and micro SD card. So, a lot of connectivity for something so small. The Pavilion X2 is gonna be available at the end of July, starting at $299. I'm Dan Ackerman, and that's the HP Pavilion X2. [MUSIC]
