A gaming favorite gets upgradedLenovo's Y-series gaming laptops get new CPUs, plus gamer-centric accessories.
I'm Dan Ackerman, here taking a look at one of my favorite laptop lines. It's Lenovo's consumer gaming line, the Y Series. The new version looks a lot like the last version, but it's gonna be called the Y700, and it's gonna come in 14, 15 and 17 inch models. The big upgrades this time, as opposed to the previous models. These guys move up to Intel's. Sixth generation core i series processors also known by the codename Skylake. And the graphics card goes from the very popular 860 M to the newer 960 M. So, the same mainstream classic graphics cards, but it's certainly fine for mainstream to high-end gaming. Screen options, depending on what size screen you get can go all the way from Pan EP all the way up to 4K, and once again, you have touch and non-touch options. Now they even have some y-themed accessories for them, including this funky headset right here, this light-up mouse, and this really big mechanical keyboard. If there's one thing I've learned recently, it's that serious gamers really like these heavy-duty mechanical keyboards. And of course, you can get everything to fit into your Y Series aesthetic now.
