3 ways to use Google Translate when you travelThe Google Translate app will break down the language barrier on your next trip. Learn how to translate menus and full conversations in seconds.
[MUSIC] The Google translate app can be a life saver when you travel. So here are three key features to try. First off, make sure you download the offline translation pack of the country's language you're gonna visit. Go to the list of languages and tap the down arrow to download. It won't take up much space on your phone. This will give you translating powers even if you don't have cell signal or WiFi. And it's just not words. The app can even translate complete sentences and takes in to account context so nothing gets lost in translation. And you don't even have to bother typing it out. If it's a sign or menu, just point the camera and let the magic happen. Press the camera icon to take a picture and highlight the text you wanna translate. Then tap the blue arrow to see the full translation. And if it's a conversation you need help with just tap the microphone and toggle languages as you speak. It's fast enough to keep up with even the fastest speakers. In San Francisco I'm Vanessa Hand Orellana Cnet, com for CBS news. [MUSIC]
