Christmas Gift Guide

/ Updated: 28 February 2007, 9:24 pm AEDT

At its 2007 line show, Sony unveiled three new shelf systems, all featuring Bluetooth connectivity, which will enable the systems to play digital audio files from other Bluetooth devices, such as computers, MP3 players, and cell phones. The three shelf systems--the CMT-BX5BT, CMT-HX7BT and CMT-DH7BT--will cost between $150 and $300 and be available in April.

The CMT-DH7BT is the top-of-the-line model, incorporating many of the features of the CMT-HX7BT model, such as MP3 playback, AM/FM tuner with 30 presets, a sleep timer, and XM-ready capability, which means you'll need only to connect an XM Mini-Tuner to get reception--and have a subscription, of course. The main upgrade of the CMT-DH7BT is that it adds a DVD player to the feature set.
