The Xbox 360 is back in black with the new Elite model. A huge 120GB hard drive is included, as well as support for HDMI output. It hits stores on April 29 with a retail price of $479.99.

All the accessories included with the Elite have been given the black makeover. Additionally, once the Xbox 360 Elite is available in stores, you'll be able to purchase more matching accessories. And of course, all of the white Xbox 360 accessories will work with the Elite model as well.

The Data Transfer Kit (sold separately) can import all of the data from another Xbox 360 hard drive to the new 120GB Elite drive. The supplied software will walk you through the simple steps to transfer your data.

Here we can see everything that is packed in the Elite box. New additions to the inventory include a generous HDMI cable as well as an audio-out A/V cable, for use with TVs and receivers that can accept only HDMI video, but not audio.

At left, the new 360 Elite side by side with the PlayStation 3. If you look closely, you'll notice the Elite lacks the fingerprint-prone glossy finish of the PS3. Instead, the Elite sports a matte black that won't show streaks.
