In honor of the upcoming movie "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," artist Anthony Herrera made intricate snowflakes featuring some of the film's characters and shared templates so fans can test their paper craft skills.

Kylo Ren, played by Adam Driver, is a mysterious character in "The Force Awakens," so it makes sense that his snowflake takes time to figure out. "At first, I thought my favorite snowflake design was the First Order Stormtrooper, but now I think it's Kylo Ren," artist Anthony Herrera told CNET's Crave blog.

"I can't wait to learn about them, see the beginnings of their epic journey," the artist said of the First Order Stormtroopers. "Good guys or bad, we always end up loving them all."

Rey, played by Daisy Ridley, wears her signature hat and sunglasses from "The Force Awakens" in this stunning snowflake. "If I want others to enjoy [the snowflakes], I have to design in a way that resembles the characters but also is easy enough to produce as a cutting craft," artist Anthony Herrera said.

"I really like the new lightsaber design," artist Anthony Herrera said. "I can't wait to hear the story behind it and see how it adds to the Star Wars mythos. I wanted to include it because Kylo Ren is more striking and menacing while holding it."

New "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" character Finn, played by John Boyega, is the kind of ally you want on your side. His snowflake has strength and determination written all over his face. "It's one thing to create a design that looks awesome onscreen, but the purpose of these snowflakes is to allow others to actually create them themselves," artist Anthony Herrera said.

"BB-8 is the most challenging," artist Anthony Herrera told CNET. "His ball body had a lot of great geometric circles and I wanted to include as much as that as I could without making to too complicated."
