One last look

It's one thing to read about a phone in a press release and another to see it in the flesh. The Samsung Focus 2 is appealing for several reasons. First, it's a 4G LTE Windows phone. Second, it'll cost only $49.99 with a new two-year contract.

The Focus 2 features a 4-inch Super AMOLED screen, which looks very nice, but not quite as vibrant as the Super AMOLED Plus display.

Although the phone comes in an attractive white color, it also features silvery trim. Overall, it's a good effect and the handset manages to dodge the cheap-and-cheesy look.

Don't expect 8 megapixels on a $50 phone. It's a 5-megapixel camera, and so far, the shots were pretty good. We've seen a similar camera on quite a few of Samsung's Windows phones.

You can see the Focus 2 for yourself starting May 20 at AT&T stores.
