How's my typing?

The keyboard felt good in the hand, and the keys were easy to press and manipulate. We would have preferred to see automatic spell-checking in the composition window, but typing was just fine for us. There's no onscreen keyboard option, so you'll need to open the physical keyboard each time.

Quite compact, the Character has a good, rounded rectangular shape and fits into the palm.

If you're not into peacock blue, the Character also comes in a more toned-down gray. A pebbled backing assists with grip.
