Verizon Wireless Network Extender

Editors' rating: 3.5

The good: The Verizon Wireless Network Extender does help to improve voice reception and signal strength. There are no monthly fees.

Asus Eee Top ET1602

Editors' rating: 3

The good: Most affordable all-in-one PC on the market; semiportable and easy to set up, thanks to its small size and self-contained design; boasts a touch interface with a few useful apps.

The bad: Touch software only semiuseful; decent performance for an Atom system, but horrid compared with similarly priced laptops and desktops.

The bottom line: Thanks to its price, size, touch screen, and semiportability, the Asus Eee Top ET1602 presents a lot of usage options. Put it in the kitchen, den, or even a hallway, and it can serve as an easy information hub for your family. Just don't put it on a desk, where a desktop or a laptop will be much better suited for serious work.

Audiovox ACA250 wireless rearview camera

Editors' rating: 3

The good: The Audiovox wireless rearview camera is easy to install with only simple hand tools on most cars. The inclusion of infrared illuminators allows for clear rearward vision, even at night.

The bad: The monitor's screen is tiny and picks up interference when not in use, which can be distracting while driving at night. Camera's easy installation makes it an easy target for theft.

The bottom line: The Audiovox ACA250 wireless rearview camera provides an easy way to increase the safety of your vehicle while backing up, if you can deal with the wireless technology's rough edges.

The good: Accurate color decoding; solid connectivity; well-rounded feature package with horizontal and vertical lens shift.

The bad: Inaccurate primary colors bring down the overall color fidelity; not very bright.

The bottom line: Sanyo's affordable 1080p front projector has its share of flaws, but still represents a good value in its category.
