Nokia X OS uses Android's open-source code as its base, which makes it possible to run the Android apps. Yet, the interface also pulls from both Asha and the Windows Phone OS -- see those tiles?
The Fastlane gives you a stream of apps and activities, such as status updates and notifications.
Besides this blue version, the Nokia X also comes in a bright, bright green. The only feature on its rear side is a 3-megapixel camera.
The interface looks more like Windows Phone than Skype.
