At 3.5 inches, the display on the Optimus Elite is no bigger than the iPhone's. And with its straight lines and rounded corners, it almost looks like Apple's handset, as well.
The Optimus fits squarely in the hand, but I don't love the plastic feel. Fortunately, Corning Gorilla Glass covers the display.
The display supports 16 million colors, but its 320x480-pixel resolution is on the low end for Android phones.
The standard Android touch controls for Back, Home, Menu, and Search sit below the display.
Up top are the power control and a 3.5mm headset jack.
The volume rocker sits on the left side. It's large enough to find by feel when you're on a call.
On the rear side are the lens for the 5-megapixel camera plus a self-portrait mirror and a flash.
