Webcam

The webcam is optional, but it's at the bottom of the display, a pretty unusable spot.

Connections

The placement of the USB and HDMI connectors -- it's the same on the 27 as the 24 -- has some tradeoffs: It makes it possible to feed the cables through the stand for a tidier look, but it's a somewhat hard-to-reach location if you connect and disconnect a lot. There's a USB charging port, headphone jack and SD card slot on the side, and it can compensate if you only use one USB connector regularly.

More connections

HDMI, USB Type-A and a USB-C are on the other side of the stand, where they face the same location trade-offs.

White is the new black for PCs

I'm not crazy about the two-tone white and black (I like black and white generally, but don't think it works here), which is an option for the 24-inch.

Touch and tilt options

Unlike the 27-inch model, the 24-inch one has a touchscreen option and a fold-down stand like the XPS 27.

Inspiron 27 7000

The 27-inch is more attractive than previous Inspiron AIO designs, and it has room for a subwoofer to boost its stereo sound system.

Dell Inspiron Gaming Desktop

Dell also owns Alienware, a hardcore gaming-hardware brand, and this more budget-focused desktop looks game-y without being as flashy as Alienware gear.

Dell Inspiron Gaming Desktop

For a budget game desktop it's reasonably expandable; current power supply options only go up to 400 watts, but the Radeon cards have been designed to draw a lot less power. Up to 850 watts will be available later this year.
